Peter Trapp
Peter has been committed to seriously hard training since the age of 15 and now at age 43, is still training with intensity and a constant desire to keep on improving.

Disgusted by the fads so prevalent in the ‘Fitness Industry,’ Peter despises arm-chair-expert coaches, non-training internet gurus, and the majority of inexperienced ‘Personal Trainers‘ produced like factory fodder. He trains like a ‘Dinosaur’, a ‘Caveman’ and a ‘CrossFitter’. No matter what you want to call it, Peter has always been drawn to simple no-nonsense training and understands that regardless of what system you package it as, performing constantly varied functional movements is the key to getting results.
Peter knows what pain and intensity feels like and continues to train on a daily basis despite helping to raise two kids, working full time and running a business. Excuses are bullshit in Peter’s opinion, he knows that challenging yourself to regular intense exercise will not only help any client he trains to cope better with their day to day activities, but also instil a sense of satisfaction and achievement that is second to none at any age.
Peter was a former elite junior middle distance runner who trained very hard but because of poorly designed programs was constantly injured, he learnt many painful lessons.
Disappointed with his injuries and frustrated by his lack of success he went off wasting many years on ineffective bodybuilding type programs. Tired of not getting results he researched other methods. He discovered Brooks Kubik’s book “Dinosaur Training” and re-read the teachings of his childhood inspiration, the eccentric Percy Cerrutty. This new direction led him to refocus his training and formed the basis of his current coaching ideas.
A desire to help athletes learn by his mistakes led him to undertake a Personal Trainers course. Extremely disappointed by the shallowness of what was taught, Peter has spent many years seeking out mentors and travelling all over Australia to learn whatever another experienced Coach may have to offer. Taught by some of Australia’s most experienced and respected Strength and Conditioning coaches, Running coaches and Weightlifting Coaches he understands that a good coach never stops learning.
Peter has the following qualifications:
- Level 1 Strength & Conditioning Coach (ASCA)
- Level 2 Track & Field-middle distance (ATFCA)
- Level 1 Weightlifting Coach (Weightlifting Australia)
- Level 1 Crossfit Olympic Weightlifting
- Level 1 Caveman Trainer (API)
